Welcome to Ex-Westcottian Alumni (EWA) website.
This Alumni has been formed with the objective of providing a platform for communicating with your old friends of Westcott and also for helping out our society with the help of all alumni members. The Ex-Westcottians Alumni (EWA) is a combined alumni for students of both Bishop Westcott Boys' School, Namkum, Ranchi and Bishop Westcott Girls' School, Namkum, Ranchi.


ABOUT US - EWA

Welcome to Ex-Westcottian Alumni (EWA) website. This Alumni has been formed with the objective of providing a platform for communicating with your old friends of Westcott and also for helping out our society with the help of all alumni members. The Ex-Westcottians Alumni (EWA) is a combined alumni for students of both Bishop Westcott Boys' School, Namkum, Ranchi and Bishop Westcott Girls' School, Namkum, Ranchi. So, all pass outs of both the schools are eligible to become members of the Alumni. For the Rules and criteria you may please refer to the Bye Laws section.

This alumni was initiated by few teachers of both the schools like Mr. J. J. Edwin who also happens to be an Ex-Westcottians. With great effort, first an Ad-hoc committee was formed which included teachers from both the schools who are Ex-Westcottians. This committee then organized the Inaugural function of the Ex-Westcottians Alumni on 16th September' 2007 with great success. A large number of Ex-Westcottians attended the function at Bishop Westcott Boys' School, Namkum. Mr. R.I. Thornton, the present Principal of the School gave the Welcome speech and officially inaugurated the Alumni by burning lamp. Then the cake was cut by two of the oldest Ex-Westcottians present in the function, namely Mr. Satish Midha and Mrs. M. Kenswar. An Executive Committee was elected with the consent and approval of all members present in the function. Also two sub committees were formed from both the schools. Mr. R. I. Thornton and Miss N. Jacob, Principals of Bishop Westcott Boys' and Girls' Schools respectively, were unanimously made the Patrons of the Alumni.

Also it was decided that there will be an Annual Gathering every year, around the yead end. In year 2010 it has been decided to host the event on Sunday, the 31st of October, 2010.

Likewise, each year EWA will be organising an Annual EWA Fete exclusively for the EWA members, there families and students of both the schools. Last year it was held on 14th December 2009. This year also, it is being held in the month of November'10.

How to become a member:

To become a member one has to fill up a membership form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.500.
In addition to that, you would have to pay Annual Subscription of Rs. 200. The membership form is available in the following collection centers.

One can also download the form here. Fill it up and send it along with the membership fee to the registered address of the Alumni. The payment can be made in the form of Cash, DD, or At Par Cheque in favor of Ex-Westcottians Alumni, payable at Ranchi in its Union Bank Account(A/c No.- 530502010139527).
